Tracto Website Relaunch

Tracto is an internationally active business specializing in the construction of special machinery for the underground laying and renewal of pipelines. After redesigning the brand, Tracto needed a new company website.

Process

In order for the system to be future proof, it had to be flexible and simple, while not sacrificing key functionalities. Thus, the goal was a website with inbuilt CMS and PIM system, that is easy to understand and use for potential clients, as well as the editorial staff of the company.
We began with collecting requirements for the website and prioritized them from MVP to nice-to-have. From there we worked out a rough information architecture, which was further developed with the help of user stories, that were created in close cooperation with the client.

From Wireframes to High-Fidelity Prototype

After the requirements and information architecture where set, I translated those into wireframes – again in close cooperation with the client. These served as basis for the final high-fidelity prototype. The visual language used was based on the new brand guidelines.

Results of the Project

As the products Tracto sells are quite unique on the market and have a broad range of applications, they need a bit of explanation – especially for the uninformed user. Several modules and subpages serve that purpose. They not only inform about the products and the company, but also convey competence and experience in the field of trenchless technology.
01 Scalable platform rolled out in more than 60 countries.
02 Flexible and easy to use module-based system for internal staff. No significant training required.
03 Single source of truth for product data and content, making it easy to synchronize across different media.
