Research & Concept
In order for the system to be future proof, it had to be flexible and simple, while not sacrificing key functionalities. Thus, the goal was a website with inbuilt CMS and PIM system, that is easy to understand and use for potential clients, as well as the editorial staff of the company. We began with collecting requirements for the website and prioritized them from MVP to nice-to-have. From there we worked out a rough information architecture, which was further developed with the help of user stories, that were created in close cooperation with the client. From Wireframes to High-Fidelity Prototype
After the requirements and information architecture where set, I translated those into wireframes. These served as basis for the final high-fidelity prototype. The visual language used was based on the new brand guidelines.Making the Backend usable
In order to make the website usable for the editorial staff of the company, we structured the editor in an easy to understand manner and provided the different content modules with suitable icons. It takes minimal training to use the editor and the content can be used in a multitudes of platforms from web to print.
